Humanitarian Assistance & Emergency Response
For over 30 years, HTAC has been on the frontlines of humanitarian aid, delivering life-saving support to Afghan families affected by war, displacement, and natural disasters. In a country where millions struggle with poverty, food insecurity, and inadequate healthcare, HTAC’s Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Response Program provides urgent relief, ensuring that vulnerable children and families receive the care and resources they need to survive and rebuild their lives.
HTAC has a long history of delivering food, clean water, medical supplies, and essential non-food items to displaced families, refugees, and communities affected by conflict and disasters. Through our network of partners, we have provided life-saving assistance, including blankets, clothing, hygiene kits, and winterization support to help families endure extreme weather conditions
HTAC’s Humanitarian Assistance & Emergency Response: Restoring Hope in Crisis
Since 1993, HTAC had prioritized humanitarian assistance by delivering critical aid to families living in refugee camps, internally displaced persons (IDP) settlements, and underserved regions across Afghanistan. Over the years, the organization had provided essential supplies, including food, medicine, clothing, blankets, and school materials, benefiting over 1.7 million Afghans. Their ongoing efforts ensured that families struggling with poverty and displacement received life-saving assistance. HTAC worked closely with international partners such as Americare and the Mennonite Central Committee to distribute much-needed supplies to those in crisis. HTAC's dedication to humanitarian relief had been unwavering, as they continuously sought to alleviate the hardships faced by Afghan families. By addressing the immediate needs of vulnerable communities, they played an indispensable role in helping families navigate through challenging times and rebuild their lives with dignity.
Support for Landmine Survivors and Disability Assistance
Afghanistan remains one of the most heavily landmine-contaminated countries in the world, with thousands of children affected by landmine explosions. HTAC, in partnership with the Marshall Legacy Institute and the CHAMPS (Children Against Mines Program) project, has been instrumental in rehabilitating child survivors of landmine incidents. The organization has provided prosthetics, medical care, and rehabilitative support to children who have lost limbs due to landmine explosions. Additionally, HTAC conducts landmine awareness programs in schools and communities to educate children about the dangers of unexploded ordnance, reducing the risk of future casualties.

Whether through the distribution of essential supplies, ensuring access to education, or rehabilitating child landmine survivors, HTAC continues to be a beacon of hope for Afghan communities struggling in crisis. Through these humanitarian efforts, HTAC is not only addressing immediate needs but also building long-term resilience in Afghan communities, helping families and children recover and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope
